QinetiQ is exhibiting at SMM Hamburg, one of most important events in the maritime industry calendar, from 6-9 September 2016.
The show is a unique opportunity to meet with our current and future customers and industry partners.
More than 2,100 international exhibitors and 50,000 visitors attend event, making the bi-annual trade fair a perfect stage for gathering insights, networking, cementing business deals and contributing to debates with the thought leaders in this sector.
SMM is attended by top shipbuilders, key players in the value chain, operators and service providers. Running in parallel to the exhibition are a host of conferences on topics such as Global Maritime Environmental Congress, Maritime Security & Defence, Offshore Dialogue and a Maritime Career Market.
This year, our stand in Hall B2 (Booth 319) highlights how we help customers to: Define precise future requirements; Detect and accurately identify threats; Protect national and organisational interests; Assure safe and robust delivery; and Operate most efficiently and cost-effectively.
In the Define zone, we introduce how we work in partnership to transform how our customers make decisions, control risk and determine the best evidence-based option to meet current and future challenges. We introduce our Paramarine software and naval architecture concept design capability, helping clients design the vessel that meets their needs.
In Detect, we demonstrate how we enable customers to respond to increasingly sophisticated global threats, with innovative sensors and integration across air, land and sea.
The Protect area highlights some of the solutions we deploy to protect our customers’ most valuable assets and operations, introducing our marine cyber security services.
The Assure section looks at QinetiQ’s unique test and evaluation resources: people, sites and expertise. We help governments and industry deliver next generation equipment safely and securely. Our hydrodynamic facilities are amongst the largest in the world, and have tested every UK Royal Navy ship since 1887.
Finally, in our Operate zone, you can find out how we’ve developed tools, including our SeaWeigh software and services to help ensure vessels will meet current and emerging energy efficiency legislation. We’ll also explain how we use our specialist design and testing capability to review energy saving methods for in-service and new-build ships.
